Waterbom Bali Wins Back-to-Back Sustainable Business of the Year at Punch Sustainability Awards 2025
Dec 2025 – Waterbom Bali wrapped up the year by securing the “Sustainable Business of the Year” award at The Punch Sustainability Awards 2025. Team members expressed deep gratitude for this recognition of their environmental initiatives.
Finalists in this category included sustainability partner Eco-Mantra and Desa Potato Head. Claiming the prize for a second consecutive time placed Waterbom alongside leading organizations in Bali’s hospitality sector.
Following two victories at the 2024 Punch Awards, this latest honor underscores Waterbom’s commitment to stewardship under its Karmic Returns program.
Within Karmic Returns, the waste management system integrates sorting and disposal. The single-use plastics initiative has eliminated thousands of plastic items on site. Renewable energy optimization has cut grid dependence, and water-saving tactics include rainwater harvesting and low-flow fixtures. Each measure supports a shift toward circular resource flows.
Progress depends on Eco-Mantra’s guidance in strategy and impact measurement, including periodic performance assessments and tracking of key metrics. The in-house Green Team manages staff training, monitors daily operations and reports outcomes to leadership. These partners and teams collaborate on monthly reviews of sustainability goals.
The Punch Sustainability Awards recognize companies fostering positive change across Bali’s tourism and hospitality industries. This accolade fuels Waterbom’s mission and maintains focus on achieving Net Zero by 2033 as it aims to become the globe’s leading eco-friendly waterpark.
This win demonstrates that every action contributes to environmental progress and that collective efforts can secure a cleaner future for Bali and beyond.
